Maison Journo is an absolute gem and a must go to in Marseille. Family run, no frills patisserie spot, still existing after many years through word of mouth. Just really good food (excellent, really!) made with soul. The tuna fricassee is just so tasty: preserved lemon, olive and harissa bring moments of sour, salt and spice with each bite. Where to begin? With the savoury tuna sandwich and tuna free sandwich, which were exceptional and fascinating. Incredible sweet treats after. Don’t miss this place.

Il locale passa leggermente inosservato ma BISOGNA fermarsi!! È una pasticceria ma fa anche pranzi semplici con pochi ingredienti ma magnifici. Sapori freschi, speziati e avvolgenti, tutto ad un prezzo da forno di quartiere. Non volevamo prendere il loro succo di limone ma (al quarto panino ordinato di nuovo) ce lo hanno offerto ed era spaziale, ovviamente ne abbiamo ordinato altro. Fidatevi!

The place goes slightly under the radar, but you MUST stop by! It's a pastry shop, but they also serve simple lunches with just a few ingredients, yet magnificent. Fresh, spicy, and enveloping flavors, all at neighborhood bakery prices. We didn't want to order their lemon juice, but (after the fourth sandwich we ordered again) they offered it to us, and it was amazing. Of course, we ordered more. Trust me!

Merci David pour votre accueil. Après plus de 20 ans, nous avons eu le plaisir de vous retrouver. Toutes ces saveurs nous ont ramené à des souvenirs de joie et de partage, quand papa venait nous acheter les casses-croute Tunisiens, sans oublier les pâtisseries. Rien à changé, c'est super. Les pâtisseries : un régal : le macaron aux amandes est un pur régal, moelleux à souhait, le croquant aux amandes également.

Forget everything you already know. Today, my son and I went for a Tunisian snack and pastries. It's nothing like anything I've ever had the opportunity to eat. This one is hands down the best: taste, flavor, and the right amount of ingredients: the best of the best, really. The pastries: a real treat: the almond macaron is a pure delight, perfectly soft, as is the almond crunch. Thank you to the owner for this culinary experience, a true delight. I loved it.

La meilleure et la plus authentique! Bon malheureusement c’est jamais ouvert quand je suis disponible, mais sinon c’est vraiment délicieux. J’ai goûté le sirop d’orgeat maison, le fricassé bien sûr, les loukoums, formidable. Y’a juste les horaires qui me vont pas, mais sinon allez-y !

The best and most authentic! Well unfortunately it's never open when I'm available, but otherwise it's really delicious. I tasted the homemade orgeat syrup, the fricassee of course, the Turkish delights, fantastic. It's just the hours that don't suit me, but otherwise go for it!
